I really have no explanation for this photo. I went outback to enjoy the amazing weather we've been having lately, and my dog started rubbing his head in a bush. So, naturally I snapped a picture before he stopped, the result made me laugh and I decided to upload it.
So I guess it could be called an utterly ridiculous photo, as it was taken in laughs, processed for fun, and uploaded on a whim. Maybe others will find it oddly hilarious as I inexplicably do =P |

It took me at least 45 minutes of trying, but I finally shot a falling leaf at 50mm, f/1.8, minimum focus distance. The weather was so perfect, I didn't mind at all. It was a crisp (by Arizona standards) 70 degree morning, with an ever crisper breeze. I took advantage of it and went into the yard wandering aimlessly around taking photos of anything and everything. I find I learn much more when I take this approach to photography. (And enjoy myself a bit more thoroughly, if that's possible)

Took this early (early is a relative term, really =P) this morning on a quick photo trek through the "South Mountain Preserve" not far from our home. There were some interesting sights to be seen, as we had quite a heavy monsoon last night. All-in-all, its been a good 8/8/08! =)

Took a "Photographic Road Trip" up to Sedona with some family (mom and brother), and a friend. The trip was most enjoyable, and also provided a great opportunity to learn. (Making it obviously the best kind of trip =P) |
