It's chilly out there, we have about -10°C. To cold to get new outdoor shots so I've edited tons of old pictures, when I had my cam only for a couple of days to see what I can make out of them. I only had the kit lens back then and no clue about settings or stuff. Thank god for Photoshop ;)

Nachdems eiskalt draußen ist - so um die -10°C - hab ich genau gar keine Lust neue Outdoor shots zu machen. Also hab ich tonnenweise alte Fotos editiert aus der Zeit wo ich die Kamera grad mal ein paar Tage hatte, um zu sehen was man noch draus machen kann. Damals hatte ich nur das Kit Objektiv und keinen Plan von Einstellungen Gottseidank gibt's Photoshop ;)

I wanna take the opportunity to think aloud: In many of my shots it's not about the perfect settings or all the technical stuff , it's about CREATIVITY, making pictures to a predetermined theme (what is quite challenging), seeing the world from a different point of view, capturing a moment, spontaneity and fun. That's what photography means to me. So I know that sometimes not everything is perfectly in focus or so... you don't need to tell me everytime *lol* I mean, don't get me wrong. I like constructive criticism though. It's the best way to improve. ;) Just my 2 cents. Thanks for listening. I feel better now *lol* ;) |

Okay, so it's Pretty Pink Tuesday again. This week's theme was one of the most challenging ever. Pink Furniture. Phew. I already had two shots but wasn't really happy with them. And today when I woke up I suddenly had this idea and quickly made the shot right after getting up. Even before having coffee... I think I work best under pressure *lol*

Okay, es ist also wieder Pretty Pink Tuesday. Das Thema diese Woche war wohl eines der schwersten ever. Pinke Möbel. Ich hatte schon zwei fertige Shots auf meiner Festplatte, war aber nicht so wirklich glücklich damit. Heute beim Aufwachen hatte ich einen Geistesblitz und hab das Foto direkt nach dem Aufstehen gemacht. Offenbar brauch ich einfach den Druck um arbeiten zu können *lol*

#1 2009 is gonna be the best year EVER, I honestly know that ;)
#2 I don't like new year's resolutions because I think you can make changes every day!
#3 I will try not to hurt myself too bad this year *lol*
#4 I will also try hard not to destroy too many stuff. But actually I've already broken my glasses on Jan. 1st *lol* Not the best start... but hey, no serious injuries at least ;)
#5 Don't wanna miss any Pretty Pink Tuesday *lol* Even if this means I have to do crazy weird stuff in the middle of Monday night...
#6 Will try to improve my English skills!!!
#7 Wanna get a new tattoo this year. Got my first one when I was 17. Thinking bout another one for a couple of years already. I know what I want I just cannot decide for the right place on my body...
#8 Update: While writing this I wanted to get a coke from my kitchen and broke a big bowl with potato salad in it and hurt myself on my feet. LOL
#9 And whatever I do, I just don't wanna screw it up this time (for those who know what I'm talking bout *lol*)

Picture made of 3 differently exposed shots (-2...0...+2) using a tripod, HDR generated in Photomatix, post processed in PS CS3. Not entirely happy how it turned out...
